Madison New Jersey
Madison New Jersey, where I do business, is a wonderful place.
Madison's growth accelerated after the Civil War. The railroad provided good transportation for its farm produce. Later, the railroad made possible the establishment of a flourishing rose growing industry, still commemorated in Madison's nickname, The Rose City.[3] The Morris and Essex Lines became one of America's first commuter railroads, attracting well-to-do families and contributing to the development of "Millionaire's Row," which stretched from downtown Madison to downtown Morristown.
I've come across a concert poster for the 1959 Buddy Holly show in Moorehead, MN. Yes, the night the music died.
This is the only known poster for this show in existence. (If you know someone who has another or even other Buddy Holly posters, contact me for a free appraisal, as I'm looking to build a collection around that fateful event.)
The poster's owner was the son of a local street sweeper. He contacted me, and I hopped on a plane and traveled across the country to purchase the concert poster for my collection.
Here's a picture of the concert poster. If you or someone you know has any other Buddy Holly related material, please contact me.
